Glossary of Emoti terms
Short definitions of the words Emoti uses, from agent, brief and fit strip to sequence, AI screen, scorecard, insight, and the billing terms contact reveal, seat, voice-screen minutes and trial.
In short: the agent prepares searches and drafts for people to review, the fit strip shows how someone meets each criterion, a sequence sends outreach steps until someone replies, an AI screen is a short voice interview rated against a rubric, and a contact reveal shows a candidate's email address and phone number. The sections below define every term, grouped by where you'll see it, with links to more.
The agent and sourcing
- Agent: the AI in Emoti that does the repetitive work of filling a role. You brief it on Home, and it prepares searches, outreach drafts and screen drafts for you to review. It never sends, schedules or changes anything by itself.
- Brief: a plain-language description of who you're looking for, which the agent turns into criteria.
- Criterion: one thing a search checks for, such as the role, location, years of experience, a skill or an industry. Each is a must-have or nice to have.
- Fit strip: the row of segments on every match, one per criterion. A solid blue segment means met, a half-filled one partly met, a hollow one missing, and a pale grey one not enough information. Hover a segment to see the evidence.
- Batch: search results arrive ten at a time. Shortlisting and passing builds your shortlist; it doesn't change how later batches are ranked.
- Shortlist: the people in a search you've marked as worth pursuing. Passing is the opposite.
- Look-alike: a search for people similar to someone you pick, by discipline, level, skills and background.
- Market map: who works where for a discipline and region, grouped by company.
- Talent pool: everyone you've shortlisted, grouped by role, so you can come back to them.

Outreach
- Sequence: an ordered set of outreach steps, such as an email, a LinkedIn message, a call task and a wait, each on a day number.
- Enrolment: one person in a sequence. Its status shows where they are: Scheduled, Active, Replied, Interested, Not interested, Bounced or Finished. A reply stops the sequence for that person.
- First line: the personal opening line the agent writes for each recipient from their profile. Nothing is sent until a person approves it.

Screening
- Ideal-candidate profile: the criteria every inbound applicant for a role is scored against, using the same fit strip as sourcing. Recruiters can edit it.
- AI screen: a short, structured voice interview the agent runs with candidates, in their language and on their schedule, using questions and a rubric the hiring team writes.
- Scorecard: the result of a completed AI screen: a rating for each answer (Weak, Mixed, Good or Strong) and an overall score from 0 to 100. People make the decision.

Interviews and notes
- Conversation: a recorded call in Emoti, with its AI note, highlights, transcript and Ask.
- Highlight: a moment in a call worth a second look, with a quote and the time it was said. Kinds: Strength, Concern, Question, Logistics and Motivation.
- Template: the list of sections, each with an instruction, that decides what Emoti writes in a note.
- Ask: questions about one call, answered from the transcript with links to the moment.
- Collection: a group of conversations, such as the finalists for one role or examples for interviewer training.

Insights and job posts
- Insight: a saved question answered across every recorded call, with a weekly trend and optional alerts.
- Job post check: one of five live checks on a job post: Inclusive language, Clarity, Requirements, Pay transparency and Length.

Plans and billing
- Contact reveal: what Reveal contact in Sourcing uses to show a candidate's email address and phone number, one per person. Each plan includes a number of reveals per seat a month, shared across the workspace. Sourcing sometimes calls a reveal a contact credit.
- Seat: a paid place in a workspace, for a recruiter or coordinator who sources, sends outreach or runs screens. Interviewers who only read notes and add feedback don't need one, and on Business and Enterprise hiring managers don't use one either.
- Voice-screen minutes: the length of completed AI screens, pooled across the workspace each month. Each plan includes a number of minutes a month.
- Trial: the 14 days of Team that every new workspace starts with, with no card needed. Without a card or a paid plan by the end, the workspace moves to Free, and nothing is deleted.
