How Emoti works

Emoti is a recruiting agent. It does the legwork of filling a role, from finding people to writing up interviews, and people make every decision. Here's what that looks like on both sides of the hiring table.

For recruiters and headhunters

Emoti follows a role from brief to offer, in the order hiring happens. At each stage the agent does the repetitive work and hands you the decisions, with the evidence behind every suggestion.

  1. Brief the agent

Describe the role in plain words or paste a job description. The agent turns it into a plan: a sourcing search, an outreach sequence and a first-round screen, each ready for you to review.

You decide: What the role needs, and which drafts go ahead.

    Briefing the agent
  2. Find the right people

Your brief becomes criteria you can edit, each marked required or nice to have. Every match carries a fit strip, one segment per criterion, with the evidence behind each mark. Shortlist or pass, and the next batch of ten gets sharper.

You decide: Who is worth a conversation.

    Reading the fit strip
  3. Reach out personally

Sequences send emails and LinkedIn messages in timed steps, inside the sending window you set. The agent writes a first line for each person from their profile, and a reply stops the sequence for them.

You approve: Every message and first line before anything is sent.

    Building an outreach sequence
  4. Screen on the candidate's schedule

AI voice screens ask the questions you wrote, in the candidate's language, whenever suits them. Each answer is summarized and rated against the guide to a strong answer you set before anyone was interviewed.

You decide: Who advances. The scorecard informs the decision; it never makes it.

  5. Interview with the notes taken

The notetaker joins your calls, tells everyone the call is recorded, and writes notes in the template you choose, with highlights you can jump to. Ask a question about any call and get an answer that quotes the transcript.

You choose: Which calls are recorded, and who sees the notes.

  6. Learn what's working

Insights track a question across every conversation, like how often candidates ask about remote work, and alert you when it changes. Job posts get live checks for inclusive wording, clarity, requirement overload, pay transparency and length.

You decide: What to change in the role, the process or the post.

Running searches for clients?

Headhunters and agency recruiters use the same loop for client work: record intake and client calls, share read-only notes with the client by link, map the market for a pitch, find look-alikes of a client's best hire, and keep talent pools for the next search.

Emoti for agencies
  • People decide

Emoti ranks, drafts and summarizes. Advancing, rejecting and hiring are always a person's call.

  • Nothing goes out unseen

No message or screen invitation reaches a candidate without a person approving it.

  • AI work is labelled

Anything Emoti wrote is marked, and every suggestion shows the evidence behind it.

For job seekers

You don't need an account or an app. You meet Emoti when a company uses it to hire. Here's what that can look like, and what stays in your hands at each step.

  1. A recruiter finds you, or you apply

Recruiters describe the experience a role needs, and Emoti shows them people whose background matches, with the evidence for each point. If you apply, you're reviewed against the same criteria as everyone else for the role.

What helps: A CV and profile that show specific evidence for your skills.

Make your CV easy to match
  2. You get a personal message

Messages come from the recruiter's own mailbox or LinkedIn. Emoti may have helped write the first line, but a person approved it. Reply to say you're interested, not right now, or no thanks; any reply stops the follow-ups.

You choose: Whether to reply, and what happens next.

    Why a recruiter contacted me
  3. You might be invited to an AI voice screen

A short set of questions from the hiring team, asked by an AI interviewer, in your language, when it suits you. You see the length and the camera policy before you start, can hear a question again, and can pause between questions.

You control: When you take it, the language, and whether to ask for an adjustment.

  4. Your interviews may be recorded

When a hiring team uses Emoti's notetaker, everyone on the call is told it's being recorded. The notes help the team remember what you said and compare candidates fairly.

You can: Ask not to be recorded, or ask how long recordings are kept.

    When your interview is recorded
  5. People make the decision

Everyone interviewed for a role answers the same questions and is judged on the same criteria. Emoti summarizes and suggests; a person at the company makes every decision.

You can: Ask the company for feedback, or for a person to review a decision.

Common questions

Does a computer decide who gets hired?

No. Emoti finds, ranks, drafts and summarizes, and it shows the evidence for each suggestion. People at the hiring company make every decision, using the same criteria and rubric for everyone applying to a role.

Do job seekers need an Emoti account?

No. Messages arrive by email or LinkedIn, and AI screens open from a link. There's nothing to sign up for or install.

Is anything sent to candidates automatically?

Only what a recruiter has reviewed and turned on. Sequences send the steps a person approved, inside their sending window, and stop for anyone who replies.

What does a recruiting team pay for?

A plan covers sourcing, outreach, AI screens, the notetaker, Insights and job posts. Contact credits, which reveal a candidate's email and phone number, are the only part that's metered. See contact credits and billing.

Can headhunters and agencies use Emoti?

Yes. Agency recruiters run client searches with the same loop, record intake and client calls, and share read-only notes with clients by link. See Emoti for agencies and headhunters.
