Insights across conversations
Ask a question once and see the answer across every recorded call. Save it as an insight, follow the weekly trend, set alerts, and use interviewer patterns to coach your team.
Insights answers a question across every conversation at once: who raises pay, who has other offers, and how your team runs its calls. Ask once, save the question, and follow the answer week by week.
Ask across conversations
Type a question in Ask across conversations, such as "candidates asking about equity", and choose Ask. Emoti searches the transcripts, highlights and AI notes of every recorded call and lists the calls that match. Each one shows the quotes that matched; select a time to open the call at that moment.
- If your question mentions candidates, only what candidates said counts.
- Not sure where to start? Try a suggestion: Candidates asking about compensation, Competing offers, Notice periods, Remote or office days, On-call or Take-home tasks.
- If nothing matches, try a broader word, like "salary", "remote" or "notice".
To ask about a single call instead, use Ask on the conversation page. See Notes, highlights, transcripts and Ask.
Save a question as an insight
Choose Save as insight to keep the question. Saved insights lists each one with a trend line for the last eight weeks, how many calls match and its alert setting. Open an insight to see:
- its filters, such as which speaker counts, which kinds of call and the period
- Matching conversations, newest first, which you can narrow by kind of call
- Matches per week for the last eight weeks, with last week compared to the week before
Trends count matching calls across the whole workspace.
Alerts
Set alerts from the list or at the top of an insight:
| Alert | What happens |
|---|---|
| Off | No alerts. Check back when you need it. |
| Weekly digest | New matches arrive in your Monday digest. |
| Every match | You get a notification for every new matching call. |
Use Every match for things you act on quickly, such as competing offers, and the weekly digest for patterns you review once a week.
Interviewer patterns
Interviewer patterns shows how each teammate runs their calls, worked out from recorded calls with candidates and referees:
- Calls: how many of those calls they were on.
- Talk time: how the talking split between your side and the other side. It counts everyone on your side, so on a panel it's the team's share, not one person's.
- Questions asked: their turns that end in a question, in total and per call.
- Longest stretch: the longest they spoke without a break, leaving out closing remarks, with a link to that moment.
Use the numbers for coaching
- Look for patterns across several calls, not one bad call.
- A high talk share or a long stretch often means the interviewer was pitching or explaining instead of listening. Open the linked moment and listen to it together.
- Few questions can mean the call drifted. Agree the questions before the interview; see Structured, fair screening.
- Put well-run interviews in a collection for new interviewers. See Sharing notes and collections.
- Share the numbers with the interviewer as the start of a conversation, not as a score, and look again after a few more weeks of calls.
