Emoti Genie, the assistant
What Genie answers, where its answers come from, what it can't do, and what happens to the questions you ask it.
Genie is the assistant on emoti.ai. It answers questions about how Emoti works, for people hiring and for people looking for work, and helps with general recruiting and job-search questions.
What Genie can help with
- Using Emoti: how sourcing, outreach, AI screens, notes, Insights, job posts, integrations, plans and contact reveals work.
- Recruiting advice: writing a brief, outreach that gets replies, structured and fair screening, running client searches as an agency, and reading your hiring funnel.
- Job-search advice: what to expect from an AI voice screen, making your CV easy to match, interviews, talking about pay, following up and spotting job scams.
- Your workspace: inside the app, Genie can look up your plan, contact reveals, team, open roles and pipeline, and the decisions waiting on you.
Genie works out who's asking from your question. If it matters, choose Someone hiring or A job seeker when you start, and Genie answers for you.
Where answers come from
Genie answers from this help center. For each question it searches the articles, reads the passages that match, and links the articles it used under From the help center, so you can check what it said. Labels on each answer show how Genie read your question, such as "Outreach" and "Hiring".
When the help center doesn't cover something about Emoti, Genie says so instead of guessing. General advice, like how to prepare for an interview, can also draw on general knowledge.
What Genie can't do
Genie answers questions. It can't send messages, change settings, apply for jobs, book interviews or contact a company for you. To get work done in a workspace, brief the agent on Home or go to the page Genie links. Genie doesn't give legal advice: rules on hiring, recording and privacy differ by place.
Opening Genie
- On emoti.ai's public pages, including the help center, pricing and How it works, choose Ask Genie in the bottom corner of the screen.
- In the app, choose Ask Genie in the sidebar, or press Cmd+J on a Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows.
- On a phone, Genie opens full screen. Following a link closes it.
Your conversation and feedback
Your conversation is saved in your browser, so it's still there when you come back. Choose New conversation at the top of the panel to clear it. To answer, Genie sends your recent messages to Emoti's server and, when an AI model is set up, to the model that writes the answer. Don't share passwords, ID numbers or bank details.
When you rate an answer as helpful or not, the rating, your question and the articles used are sent to Emoti so the team can improve the help center.
When answers say "built-in rules"
If an answer is marked Matched from the help center by Emoti's built-in rules, no AI model answered, so Genie shows the passage that best matches your question instead of writing an answer. Answers about your workspace say Looked up in your workspace by Emoti's built-in rules. Try wording the question differently, or open the linked article.
