Reading screen results and scorecards
What a finished AI screen's scorecard shows, how the 0 to 100 score is worked out, and how to advance or reject candidates after a screen.
When a candidate finishes an AI screen, Emoti writes a scorecard: a rating and a short summary for every answer, an overall score and a summary of the whole screen. You read it and decide what happens next.
Find finished screens
Open a screen from AI screens and choose the Candidates tab. The AI screens list shows how many candidates are waiting for review on each screen, and Needs you on Home lists screens to score. Filter by All, To review, Not finished or Decided. People waiting for a decision come first, best score first.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Invited | Hasn't started the screen yet |
| In progress | Has started but not finished |
| To review | Finished, and the scorecard is ready for you |
| Advanced | You moved them on |
| Rejected | You decided they won't move forward |
What a scorecard shows
Choose a candidate to open their scorecard:
- their email, the language they answered in and when they finished
- the overall score
- a summary of the whole screen, marked "Written by Emoti"
- Answers: each question with its rating and a short summary of the answer, marked "Rated by Emoti against your rubric"
If a question was removed after the candidate answered it, the scorecard says so.
Ratings and the score
Each answer is rated on four levels against the question's rubric: Weak, Mixed, Good or Strong. Strong is closest to what you wrote for a strong answer, and Weak closest to a weak one. The rating bar fills one segment per level, from one for Weak to four for Strong: blue for Good and Strong, pale blue for Mixed and grey for Weak.
The overall score is the average rating on a scale of 0 to 100. All Strong is 100, all Good is 67, all Mixed is 33 and all Weak is 0. Next to it is a word: Strong fit (80 and up), Good fit (60 to 79), Partial fit (40 to 59) or Weak fit (below 40). When the camera is optional, the score never depends on it.
Advance or reject: you decide
At the bottom of a finished scorecard, choose Advance or Reject. Advanced candidates move on to the next stage, and rejected candidates won't move forward. To change your mind, choose Back to review.
People make the decision, not the AI. Ratings summarise each answer against your rubric. Before you decide:
- Read the answer summaries, not just the score.
- Look again when a rating surprises you, and ask whether the question gave the candidate a fair chance.
- Judge every candidate for the role against the same rubric.
