About the demo workspace
How to open the Tessellate demo, where your changes are saved, how AI answers are labelled, what only works as a demo for now, such as sign-in, email and payments, and how to start fresh.
The demo is a sample workspace for Tessellate, a fictional company, that you can open from emoti.ai without signing up. Everything in it is fictional, your changes are saved only in your browser, it sends no email and takes no payment, and clearing your browser's site data for emoti.ai starts it fresh.
Open the demo
Choose Explore the demo workspace on the emoti.ai homepage or at the bottom of the sign-in page. Emoti signs you in to the demo and opens Home. You're signed in as Jordan Avery, a recruiter on the Tessellate team. You can change the name in Profile.
A fictional company called Tessellate
Tessellate builds forecasting software for freight. All the people, companies and conversations in the demo are fictional: the candidates, the teammates, the calls and the notes. Its billing shows a Team trial with a few past invoices.
A workspace you create with Start free opens with the same sample roles and candidates for now, so you can try everything there too.
Your changes stay in this browser
Everything you do, such as searches, shortlists, edited notes, collections, enrolments, settings and checkouts, is saved in your browser's local storage. That means:
- It's still there when you come back in the same browser on the same device.
- It doesn't appear in another browser, on another device or for anyone else, so a colleague won't see your changes.
- A private or incognito window usually forgets it when you close the window.
- A link to something you made, such as a new collection or an invoice, only opens in the browser where you made it.
AI answers and built-in rules
Emoti sends model requests through its own gateway, where an admin assigns a model to each kind of task. When no model is set up, Emoti's built-in rules answer, and the interface says which one answered:
- On Home: "Answered by Emoti's built-in rules".
- In Ask on a conversation: "Matched from the transcript by Emoti's built-in rules".
- In Sourcing: "Criteria read by Emoti's built-in rules".
- In Genie: "Matched from the help center by Emoti's built-in rules".
With built-in rules, switching a note to another template rebuilds it from the existing note and transcript rather than rewriting it, and More detail and Translate leave a note section unchanged. The rest works the same way. Read more in How Emoti uses AI.
What only works as a demo for now
These apply in the demo and in any workspace you create:
- Sign-in: accounts are kept in this browser. Google, Microsoft and single sign-on aren't contacted, and codes aren't emailed: any six digits work. Sign out returns you to the sign-in page, and your changes are still there when you come back.
- Payments: billing runs in test mode. Checkout records an invoice, and no card is charged.
- Email: nothing is sent. Teammate invites and AI screen invites don't go out.
- Calls: the notetaker can't join real calls, and uploaded recordings aren't processed.
- Integrations: connections are stored only in this browser and aren't linked to a real account.
Start fresh
To put the demo back the way it started, clear the site data for emoti.ai in your browser. In most browsers, open the site's settings from the icon at the left of the address bar, or go to your browser's privacy settings, and delete the cookies and site data for emoti.ai. Then reload the page.
This removes everything you changed, including your theme and any account you created in this browser, and it can't be undone. To clear only the agent's chat on Home, choose Clear conversation instead.
If something still looks wrong, see Troubleshooting.
