Reviewing matches: shortlist, pass and profiles
Work through a search's matches ten at a time, shortlist or pass, read a profile, reveal contact details with a contact reveal and add people to outreach.
A search's results page shows the best matches first, ten at a time, each with a fit strip and a score. You decide who's worth contacting.
Work through matches in batches of ten
Results sit under three tabs:
- To review: people you haven't decided on yet, best match first. Above the list, Emoti says how many people meet every must-have.
- Shortlisted: people you've shortlisted.
- Passed: people you've passed on.
The first ten matches appear when a search opens. When you've worked through them, choose Show the next 10 at the bottom of the list. If nobody is left to review, loosen a criterion to see more people.
Each match shows the person's headline and company, location, years of experience, a line on why they match, and badges such as Open to work.
Shortlist or pass
Use the thumbs up to Shortlist and the thumbs down to Pass, on the match or in the profile. Either decision moves the person out of To review. Choose the same button again to undo it.
Decisions build your shortlist and don't change how later batches are ranked, so decide as you go and edit the brief if most results miss for the same reason. Everyone you shortlist is also gathered by role under Talent pools.
What's in a profile
Choose a name, or Profile, to open the profile drawer:
- the fit score and signals such as Open to work
- How they match: every criterion with Emoti's evidence, so you see the case for and against the person, marked "Assessed by Emoti"
- About: a short summary
- Contact: hidden until you reveal it
- Experience, Education and Skills, with the skills that meet your criteria highlighted
Reveal contact details
Email and phone are hidden until you reveal them. Choose Reveal contact in the profile: it uses one contact reveal from your plan, which the profile calls a contact credit, and shows the email address and phone number, with buttons to copy them. Revealed details stay on the profile. Opening profiles, shortlisting and passing don't use reveals. See Plans, billing and contact reveals.
Add people to outreach
- From a profile, choose Add to outreach.
- To add everyone you've shortlisted, use the button at the top of the results, for example Add 5 to outreach.
Choose an existing sequence or a new draft sequence for the role, then add them. People start at the first step, and nothing is sent until the sequence is active and their first line is approved. Paused sequences aren't offered. See Building an outreach sequence.
Find more people like someone
Choose Find look-alikes in a profile to start a new search for people with a similar discipline, level, skills and background. See Look-alikes, market maps and talent pools.
